Content Review Policy

It is the goal of the American Urological Association Office of Education to offer continuing medical education for physicians that is of superior quality. The desired result of this education should always be to improve patient care and health through increased physician knowledge and improved physician performance. This requires that the content of this educational activity be timely, scientifically valid, and evidence-based. Once the content has been developed by faculty members, the CME Content Review Committee, or a subset of its members, reviews it for quality, appropriateness, scientific validity, and freedom from commercial bias and promotion. This review of content serves a dual role–not only does it guarantee high quality education, but it also provides the most useful mechanism for resolving any conflicts of interest, thereby protecting the AUA and its members from professional or financial damages from legal action brought by regulatory bodies, such as ACCME, FDA, OIG, etc.

Your presentation may be selected for review based on the Content Review Committee's determination that your presentation falls within the criteria of high risk.
